Song of the Day: Of Montreal - Disconnect the Dots
The topic of conversation at breakfast today was September 11. I don't think I've heard of seen anything from the media referencing the horrid acts of violence that happened not too long ago. How quickly the media forgets...
Kind of a remeniscing weekend for me. Met some good friends from first year at Hess. It was good catching up with G-ram and Page., though G-Ram was too busy mackin' on turquoise tube top girl (you know you wanted her man, hehe). Another fun encounter was running into Jen-21 at a department store. There seems to be more and more people moving back to the KW. It's always great to see and catch up with everyone even if we we're in the middle of running errands all day:) It's nice to hear that everyone is doing well and starting their careers. Kudos!
Oh, and finally it's in my possession - Undeclared box set. Heck Yes! Karpie, Ron, Marshall... That's like hours of laughs. Only took like 2 weeks to locate one that was actually on store shelves... Kinda reminds me of my first year. Everyone had a Lloyd they knew from first year. This is totally worth watching. Two thumbs northward!
Upcoming this next weekend, the bachelor party in Niagara. Let's keep 'er clean boyz!

Song of the Day: Hall and Oates - Out of Touch
There's something about screaming frosh and mad traffic along University Avenue, and the swarms of wandering students that makes me miss school oh so much. It's hard to avoid when you're across from the university day in and day out. I got out of my car to a roar of chants and cheers at nine o'clock in the morning. I couldn't help reminise about all the great times I had in school. Kinda funny, but the first person I met outside of my high school friend ends up beign my roommate to this day. Isn't it ironic, dontcha think?
I think the essence of being a students is learning abotu yourself and who you are. You develop a taste for things you are akin to and reject things you aren't particularly accustomed to or become curious to try it. Being a student is all about experimentation. You're undeclared until you find the past you want to proceed and progress towards. Slowly you become sepcialized and I hate to say it, but domesticated to only a certain set of preferences that are hard to break out of under any normal circumstances. I think I'm at the point where I feel domesticated. Yes, it's a bit silly to say, but that's how things are looking in my eyes at this moment. Hung, a domesticated fool. *sigh*
I guess I forgot to mention that this was a sort of a "downer" post. Oh well...

Song of the Day: Foo Fighters - In Your Honour
Man...it finally hit as to why you alwasy see fiddy cent (a.k.a. 50 Cent) with a some sort of hat or doo rag on. The dude has a massive chrome something out of the aliens show that once graced cable television. Check it out. Below is also the caption that went with the photo as well.
His mugshot, taken in August 1994, pictures Curtis Jackson (50 Cent). Aged 19 at the time 50 had pleaded guilty to felony charges of peddling heroin and crack cocaine.

Song of the Day: DJ Shadow - Building Steam with a Grain of Salt
This whole hurricane, flooding, looting violence in the United States is appauling. We had a tsunami hit several third world countries this past year, yet I heard no accounts of rape, murder, or looting. So from reading from several news sources of such things happening in a single state, let alone a few dozen countries as the case with the tsunami, an economic powerhouse like the United States makes me wonder what is wrong with the world. In a time of need, united they fall?
This question has been circulating on various news sources, but would you loot if need be? If so, what would be the stipulations? I end with a question for you to answer yourself.
